Job description

Our Security Operations Center plays a central role in that mission and continues to grow in scale, complexity and responsibility.
As Teamlead SOC Operations, you lead a team working in real time, where focus and decisionmaking matter. Together with the Deputy Lead SOC Operations, you ensure operational excellence not only by managing daily SOC activities, but especially by developing the people who deliver them. You coach analysts, guide their growth, and foster an environment where individuals and teams thrive while remaining operationally sharp.
In this role, you carry true peopleleadership responsibilities: structured feedback, performance coaching, supporting personal development goals and handling HRrelated topics. You balance operational priorities with longterm growth, ensuring team health, skill development and service consistency. You monitor workload, support analysts in challenging situations and promote a learning culture within the SOC.
You work closely with the SOC Manager and peer management to shape the strategic direction of the SOC as Northwave scales. You drive improvements in processes and automation, ensuring that people, tooling and structure evolve in a coordinated and futureready way. This role suits someone with a passion for people, who enjoys leading teams in dynamic environments and wants to shape how a modern SOC develops over time.
Job requirements
What you bring
At least 3 years of experience leading or coordinating teams in operational environments, including direct people and HR responsibility.
A strong passion for developing people and teams, with experience in coaching, mentoring and supporting professional growth.
An understanding of (cybersecurity) operations, incident response and crisis management.
Ability to balance operational delivery with team development and longterm improvement.
Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions under pressure.
Relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.
