Your role
As a ServiceNow Engineer, you’re the expert who keeps our ServiceNow platform stable, efficient, and future-proof. You work closely with our internal teams and our ServiceNow vendor. You dive deep into the technology, quickly identify where improvements can be made (whether in configuration, process, or with the vendor), and drive optimization.
You also play a key role in continuous development: improving workflows, automating processes, and further developing our platform architecture. You challenge both internal stakeholders and suppliers to continuously improve and actively contribute to the further professionalization of our services.
What you’ll do
Identify and implement operational improvements in collaboration with our ServiceNow vendor
Perform root cause analysis across configuration, process, or vendor
Design, improve, and automate workflows to increase efficiency
Strengthen integrations between ServiceNow, our Security Operations Center, Security & Privacy Office, and customer environments
Support the development and optimization of CSM and ITSM modules
Contribute to initiatives around CWM and SPM
Manage and optimize catalog items, request workflows, and user portals
Support upgrade planning and testing cycles
Create technical documentation and configuration guides
Share knowledge with internal teams

Job requirements
Proven experience as a ServiceNow Engineer
Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical, solution-oriented mindset
Experience with workflow automation, scripting (JavaScript / GlideScript), and API integrations
Knowledge of CSM and ITSM processes
Experience with e-bonding and integrations in enterprise environments
Ability to assess, challenge, and implement ServiceNow best practices
A collaborative mindset: you switch smoothly between internal teams and external vendors
A current resident of The Netherlands (due to high interest, we will not be able to respond to candidates from abroad)
