Job description
As a Privacy Officer, you take the lead and ensure that the client has control over privacy matters. You are responsible for managing the Privacy Information Management System, providing input on organizational developments, and overseeing the handling of incidents and/or inquiries. You do this for multiple clients simultaneously.
What you do
You ensure that the client's privacy management is anchored in a continuous cycle, understand their biggest risks, and develop a treatment plan with the necessary measures. These measures need to be integrated into the organization, which may require structural changes. You act as a sparring partner and advisor to the client's management, helping them implement these measures in a holistic manner. The client can focus on their core business because you guide them through the necessary privacy actions. You are the expert in the field of privacy and also possess a healthy dose of curiosity and interest in information security, enabling you to collaborate effectively with other areas of expertise within our organization.
The team
The Security and Privacy Office (SPO) is part of our Managed Security Services department. You will join a team of enthusiastic Security Officers/CISOs/Privacy Officers who are primarily responsible for optimal service provision and customer cooperation. You work closely with other teams within the same domain and with team members from other domains within Northwave.
You won't be doing this alone. Our Security & Privacy office consists of various support lines. The first line of support is there to answer all incoming questions. The second line acts at a tactical level and the third line is the strategic partner for the organization. Together you ensure that the customer can focus on what is important: their primary business. You report to our Manager Security and Privacy Office.

Job requirements
- Several years of experience in a similar rol
- Knowledge of GDPR (AVG) and management systems, such as ISO27001 and ISO27701
- An independent and well-structured way of working
- Proficiency in Dutch and English
- CIPP-E/CIPM certifications are a plus, but not required
- Interest in information security
- But most importantly: a passion for Privacy
