Job description
We are looking for you as New Business Manager for the Northwave Deutschland GmbH.
Your Mission
As a hunter in this pivotal role, your primary mission is to proactively seek out and win new business for Northwave. You thrive on the challenge of identifying untapped opportunities and relentlessly pursuing high-potential prospects across the DACH region. Leveraging your existing network—and constantly expanding it—you’ll engage decision-makers through targeted outreach, impactful event appearances, and active participation in industry associations.
Your focus is on opening doors and initiating relationships and closing deals with potential customers and partners, skillfully positioning Northwave’s full value proposition. You excel at sparking interest and driving the conversation forward, ensuring Northwave stands out in a competitive landscape.
As part of the sales team your colleagues will help you to bring deals across the finish line, and you’ll have the support of our marketing experts and a team of over 275 security specialists to strengthen your pitch and delivery. Your drive, networking prowess, and hunter mentality are key to accelerating our growth and expanding Northwave’s footprint in the region.
What can you expect from us?
Contract
First things first: you will receive a permanent employment contract with 30 days' holiday per year. You can organise your own working hours in consultation with your colleagues and customers.
Development
What do you want to achieve and what support do you need? You will receive regular training and support in achieving your professional goals. You can also develop further within Northwave.
Team
It is important to us to respect and value each other - as professionals and as people. The best way to get to know your 275+ colleagues from the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Belgium and Sweden is to take part in one of our many activities, such as a trip to the theme park.
Equipment
You will be equipped with a modern MacBook and iPhone. We have height-adjustable desks in our offices and our CEO loves to kit us out with merchandise ;-)
Mobility
A company car, also for private use, is a matter of course in this position. Of course, we also pay travelling allowances.
what else...
No, the fruit basket in the office is not a benefit for us, but a matter of course - just like coffee, tea and lemonade. Have you ever tried Dutch caramel waffles?
Job requirements
The most important thing for us is that you fit into the team and are keen to help shape and advance Northwave. Of course, we also have a few technical requirements for this position.
Education
You have a relevant degree or vocational qualification. A degree in business, business informatics or IT is helpful. But perhaps an apprenticeship in the hospitality industry or a master's degree in promenadology (science of walking) has also led you into sales. This detail does not play a major role for us.
Knowledge and experience
You bring extensive professional experience in the sales environment, particularly in lead generation for consulting services. You know how to convincingly present both entry-level products and complex service contracts and guide them through to signature.
Even though you don’t come from an IT background yourself, you possess technical understanding and a strong interest in cyber security. In addition, you have maintained a network of decision-makers in the mid-sized business sector across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for many years.
Other strengths
Networking is more than just a skill for you – it’s your passion. You actively approach new contacts, strategically build relationships with potential clients, and are always on the lookout for new opportunities. In doing so, you act in a structured and organized manner, never lose track, and are always ready to take the next step.
Your professional and friendly demeanor is convincing even in demanding situations – and you regularly receive positive feedback for it. While you enjoy working independently and taking ownership of your goals, you remain closely connected with your team at headquarters, actively share feedback, and contribute new ideas.
With your excellent German and good English skills, you navigate confidently in any setting and are well equipped to open up new markets and clients for Northwave.

I look forward to receiving your application.
