Cyber Security Consultant (m/w/d)

  • Remote
    • Leipzig, Sachsen, Germany

Job description

We are looking for you as Cyber Security Consultant for Northwave Deutschland GmbH. You will enjoy the greatest possible independence of location throughout Germany thanks to the individual organisation of your place of work. We have offices in Leipzig and Utrecht (NL), as well as the possibility of opening further locations.

Your mission

As a Cyber Security Consultant, also known internally as a security operations manager, you will monitor the quality of the SOC services at the customer and ensure that the monitoring is in line with the IT security risks and threats that you identify at the customer. At the customer you represent Northwave, within Northwave you represent the customer. The SOC monitors our customers' networks and systems around the clock to ensure that they are and remain secure.

As Cyber Security Consultant, you will support several customers and ensure that our SOC monitoring is delivered to the desired quality. You will have an overview of the role monitoring plays in the security landscape, keep your finger on the pulse of SOC operations and the customer and signal when a change to the service is required (e.g. due to a change in IT). You will also provide the customer with monthly reports on the service and hold regular discussions to optimise our services.
In addition, you will be involved in new sales opportunities and lead implementation and change projects within the SOC that are carried out at your customers or contribute to improving service quality.

What can you expect from us?

Contract

First things first: you will receive a permanent employment contract with 30 days' holiday per year. You can organise your own working hours in consultation with your colleagues and customers.

Development

What do you want to achieve and what support do you need? You will receive regular training and support in achieving your professional goals. You can also develop further within Northwave.

Team

It is important to us to respect and value each other - as professionals and as people. The best way to get to know your 230+ colleagues from the Netherlands and Germany is to take part in one of our many activities, such as our annual trip to the theme park.

Equipment

You will be equipped with a modern MacBook and iPhone. We have height-adjustable desks in our offices and our CEO loves to set us up with merchandise ;-)

Mobility

In order to be mobile at all times, you will receive either a company car or a BahnCard 100 (also for private use).

what else...

No, the fruit basket in the office is not a benefit for us, but a matter of course - just like coffee, tea and lemonade. Have you ever tried Dutch caramel waffles?

Job requirements

The most important thing for us is that you fit into the team and are keen to help shape and advance Northwave. Of course, we also have a few technical requirements for this position.

Education

Do you have a relevant degree or professional qualification in IT or IT management and ideally additional qualifications in cyber security (CISSP, CISM)?

Knowledge and experience

Do you have relevant knowledge in IT management, e.g. as a project manager, service delivery manager or similar? Do you have good knowledge of IT security and IT infrastructures?

Other strengths

Do you work independently, well structured and have strong communication skills? Do you speak very good German and good English?

Interested?

I look forward to receiving your application.
